Dear Family & Friends;

I am writing to ask for your support. I have written and recorded a new song, which will be released on CD, November 20, 2010. The song is called “Army of Angels”. I would like to get the news out to as many people as possible, so I am asking if you would forward this e-mail on to your email contact list. Here is the story behind the song and the reason for my asking for your support.

In October of last year, (2009) I went to Fort Myers, Florida to take a personal growth and awareness workshop, called “The Journey”. I was expecting to have a nice weekend in Florida and figured I might learn a few new things. Little did I know that what I was about to experience would be life changing! I found a way to go to Florida six more times since then and take other workshops. These workshops showed me what I had forgotten years ago about myself and my life. I could go on and on about all of the things that I learned, discovered and remembered about myself, but the biggest thing I rediscovered was how to love again. Love of myself and of others. Not a love that is on the surface but true unconditional love. The ONLY way to truly love!

I took these workshops with TMC Productions. (www.tmc4.com) During my experience I began writing a song expressing how I had been feeling before I took the workshop and how I discovered that there was and entire Army of Angels (other participants) willing to take a stand for me and my life.

There are so many Armys of Angels who have supported people. There is a group called AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) that has been an Army of Angels to hundreds of thousands of people. There is a place, called “The Church”, that has been an Army of Angels to millions of people. There are the friends and family that have your back in the roughest of times. There are the teachers, that teach our youth, and the list goes on and on.

I teamed up with another participant, a great friend, and together we wrote the lyrics to “Army of Angels”. This is what she had to say about her motivation.

“What can I say about my inspiration behind the lyrics in Army of Angels?  From the bottom of my heart the best way I can put it, is the words were simply symbols as to what I experience and feel in every sense on an everyday basis.  When I was a little girl my grandmother “Meme” always lived in North Carolina while my family and I spent most of my childhood in Florida.  I was a competitive gymnast at the time and it was pretty much my world, so since she couldn’t be there at my competitions and meets, she bought me a small angel pin which she always told me to look at and think “No matter what She was my angel on my shoulder at all times and She was always watching”.  This has stuck with me through all the years and the lyrics in Army of Angels I have to say layout my belief system in the way I live my life.  I believe Angels are there at all times and I’m always protected whether I’m driving, writing, working, or resting, they are always there.  My life has brought many trials and tribulations, none of which I would take back because it has given me the gifts and lessons preparing me for the life of my dreams.  I thank my Angels for this all the time because I know they cradled me and held my hand as I walked through the good and the bad.  As you listen to Army of Angels, I ask that you think of one thing as well.  Look at your life and all the blessings around you and think, how long has it been since you’ve thanked your angels?”

After we finished the song I recorded it with a friend in a home studio. I played it for my Army of Angels at our final workshop. Everyone really loved the song! We could all relate to it.

Since then, I have teamed up with The Starfish in Action Foundation, (www.StarfishinAction.com) for the financial support in professionally recording and distribution of this song. The Starfish in Action Foundation does amazing work. They provide support to individuals and families who are in need not only financially but also in need learning life skills that support families in being healthy, loving and functional. They also support persons in jail, who might feels that they have reached the end of the line. They support personal growth workshops for these individuals to realize that every life is valuable and that each person is at choice with their life and the vision they have for that life.

100% of all the proceeds from the sale of the “Army of Angles” CD will go back to the Starfish in Action Foundation. It is my wish that this will enable the foundation to make an even bigger difference in the lives of others looking to empower and enrich their lives.
